# ESA budget tracker

## How to use it

1. Enter yearly award.
2. Enter tuition (school or microschool).

## How it works

Planned spending is the five lines added together. What is left is the award minus that total. The share used is the total divided by the award.

The award cannot be zero, so the share always divides cleanly. Money is rounded to the smallest unit of your currency.

This tool does not check whether each line is reimbursable. Use the expense checker for that question.

The amount in one child's award letter for one school year. Track each child separately.

### What if my plan is over budget?

A negative leftover means the lines add up to more than the award. Trim a line or check whether one line is paid another way.

### Does the tool convert currencies?

No. Enter every amount in one currency.
